A Teacher's Legacy, November 2015

"Education is not preparation for life... Education is life itself."
~ John Dewey

Her childhood dream was to become a teacher when she grows up. Several decades later, for her it is the first and only work position, which she performs. 21 years she has been teaching children from minority group in primary school in a small village.

Every morning she travels to work with a clear objective that she is the person on which shoulders lies the difficult task to teach them to read and write in Bulgarian, give them first lessons of history, nature and man, to form their understanding of the surrounding world and to give them valuable moral guidance for lifetime.

Every day she is a hero to her children - empathetic with their excitement, balance in their conflicts, patient listener and wise counselor. And for some of them she is the only one who supports them in their striving. The dedicated teacher is like a huge hug, which collects generations and generations of students whose first names never forgets.

The real prize for her are the successes of her students. And the biggest challenge - to remain inspirational spark for each child, which has entered in the class room.
